3.         Entry fees will be $12.00.    $8.00 will be jackpotted and the remainder will go into the prize account. Pole fees will be kept separately to determine value of year-end prizes.

4.         Points will be kept on a 10 point system.  1st place receiving 10 pts, etc  Points will be kept on rider only.  Competitor may enter as many different horses as he/she wishes to run for the jackpot, but points will be awarded on the highest place only.

5.         Knocked down Poles will result in a 5 second penalty per Pole, and you're still eligible for points.

6.         A contestant may ride any horse, regardless of ownership.  However, a horse may not be shown by more than one person in a class, unless conditions are met according to NBHA Competition Rules (Section 2, K1, K2, and K3).

7.         A High-Point Championship Saddle will be given to the year-end highest accumulative point winner. Other prizes will be given through 10th place.

8.         Contestant must enter Pole Bending in at least 6 sanctioned shows during competition year to be eligible for year-end Pole awards.  If member joins with 6 or less shows left for competition year, then he/she may miss only 1 show from the time he/she joins until the end of the year.

9.         Only one Pole jackpot will be ran at each show.  Pole Exhibition fees will be $5.00.

10.       Youths:  (16 and under as of 1/1/2007)  The Youth that ends up with the most points at year-end will win a Buckle.  Example: 1st-4th place winners are members who's ages are 17 & older and the 5th place

winner is a Youth, then that 5th place Youth wins a Buckle.  If it ends up that a Youth wins the Saddle,  the Youth buckle will not be given and the situation will be reversed...the 17 & older member that  places highest will win a buckle.

11.       Positions will be drawn for each horse entered to determine order of run.  If Contestant is riding more than one horse, he/she may request their runs to be separated by a drag.

12.       Pole Bending books will close when first runner crosses the timer.

13.       Pay Out: 1-6 entries pays 1 place, 7-12 entries pays 2 places, 13-18 pays 3 places, 19-24 pays 4 places,  25-35 pays 5 places, 36 & over pays 6 places.  Percentages per NBHA Rule Book.

14.       Any of the above Pole Bending rules may be added to or amended during the year if deemed necessary.

ALL-AROUND RULES

All-Around saddle given at the end of the year.  You must compete in 9 sanctioned shows in the Open Barrels and in 9 sanctioned shows in the Poles.  At the end of the year, we will take your points from the division in which you have the most points in the Open Barrels, Double those barrel points, and add them to your total Pole Points.  This will determine the All-around winner.  The reason we will double the barrel points is because the Pole points start with 10 points and the barrel points start with 5 points.  It’s only fair that the barrel points be double to match the Pole points.
